“Analysis Patterns”的第3章有这么一句：
we can classify observations as rejected observations when it is found that they were and are untrue, as shown in Figure 3.12.
2004（机械工业出版社）中译本的译文为：
红字的地方，翻译是正确的。
2020（人民邮电出版社）中译本的译文为：
“过去和现在都是”被抹掉了。
原文说“were and are”不是无缘无故的，因为接下来的文字就有对比：
we can classify observations as rejected observations when it is found that they were and are untrue, as shown in Figure 3.12. (Note the difference between this and an observation that was true but is no longer true,
文中强调，“过去和现在都不为真”和“过去为真，但现在不再为真”是有区别的。
如果按照2020中译本的译法，发现不为真，就把它否决。这已经修改了原文的意思。
